Jack Harrison Wow! Well heard the first track on Spotify today and it was so good, I just had to get the album. Just finished it and what a journey. Definitely close to the greatness of Godspeed, an absolute masterpiece with lovely transition between tracks and just an overall sense of completeness. Favorite track: Now Against The Staircase, Part 1.

xrenxcorex Far too good to be from Preston. I swear someone told me they were actually from Chorley once, which actually makes them even better, relatively speaking. One of the few Deep Elm signings that I've cared for in recent years. Favorite track: Kaleidoscope.

Michael Reilly An album of quiet/loud perfection. Last Lungs deliver a powerfully impressive collection of post-rock soundscapes. Nothing at all to grizzle about here. Favorite track: 33.

deer-eyed, we step out of the failing light. and heel by heel we take the hallway in our stride. and shed our clothes like torn-out paper lantern boats. and slink into the dark. Steadfast, the floorboards take our weight and moan. so we press back against a balustrade of bones. 'til there is no breath left in the turning night. to ask our names and sigh. breath left in the turning night. (our skin is razing) to ask our names. breathless in the turning night. (on the railing) to ask our names. breathless in the turning night. (our skin is braille and) to ask our names. (what it says is nothing but) a sigh

about

A meticulous merger of glistening beauty and glaring power, LAST LUNGS glows on their debut with a sprawling display of melody, mood and superior sonic craftsmanship. Like a old grizzly bear walking ever so gently through the forest knowing it can exert tremendous force at will, the album alternates unpredictably between explosive intensity and sparkling serenity...whispering and screaming, all without words. The flawless flow of soaring guitars and storming soundscapes aside, it's really Last Lungs' keen ability to know just when to punch in and pull back that undoubtedly casts an anchor for this band on the modern instrumental stage. Look At That Old Grizzly Bear is elegantly epic, sweepingly cinematic music that always pays off. Go get your headphones.

"One of the most moving live experiences to be found. Just beautifully composed ambient rock." - Glassworks

"Interesting, atmospheric and tranquil, the album casts a chilled-out spell and makes you feel that you're flying, your mind drifting through happy memories. Brilliance at work. This could become a real trendsetter..." - ArkMag
