Guitar centred post-rock, beautifully supported by a solid drum and percussion base. Intelligent compositions and smart playing bring these songs nicely into focus.

Moonlit Sailor's debut A Footprint Of Feelings (2008) has been re-released worldwide on Deep Elm. In Fall 2009, Deep Elm released their critically-acclaimed full-length album "So Close To Life." Their latest album was recently released and is titled "Colors In Stereo."
"Moonlit Sailor is much in the same vein as other counterparts Explosions In The Sky, Saxon Shore and Six Parts Seven to name a few. Non-assuming in nature, there are patterns of swelling and subsiding, like ocean waves pounding the shoreline to create this modern rock masterpiece. Songs like "Night Stroll" and "Waterfall" easily compare to the crescendo and decrescendo of a classical orchestral suite...this rising and falling is what draws the listener in. The post-rock genre may not catch on mainstream, but the larger audience is missing out on something beautiful in this music without words (9.5 out of 10)." - Tollbooth
"The most gorgeous album art I've ever seen on a post-rock album. This disc is too good! The music speaks for itself. From the twinkling intricacies of "Waterfall" that actually paint the mental image of a waterfall to the moment in "A Footprint Of Feelings" when the guitars hone in to bulk up the heavy dynamics, there's more than enough songwriting prowess to please. And who can forget the climax of "Night Stroll," when wandering guitar lines converge in a moment of glorious effect and reproduce one of the simplest chord progressions in music history in post-rock gleam? Or even "Once We Were Children's" simple but tantalizing finale? What Moonlit Sailor have proven on A Footprint of Feelings is that they are in possession of a wealth of post-rock potential." - Absolute Punk
"Instead of cheap tricks, Moonlit Sailor utilizes bombastic drumwork and the prettiest guitars to craft one of the most captivating, engaging releases as of late. It's on the short side at 27 minutes...but if at the end of the disc I'm left wanting more, then how can I characterize this album as anything but a success? I can't because A Footprint Of Feelings is a success. This is music that makes me feel. And for me, that's plenty. This music will make you feel too..." - Silent Ballet
